Experience #1 Traffic Ops* Have you ever wondered why sometimes you hit all the green lights, and sometimes you don’t? Is there a method to this madness? Find out how Fort Collins uses the Advanced Traffic Management System to monitor traffic and control the traffic signals. This tour will demonstrate the value of the Baldrige framework, at an operational level. Strategic alignment, customer input, data driven, and process improvement will be exhibited in real time.

10:45-11:15: Aaron Iverson

Experience #2 FC Bikes - Platinum Community: Fort Collins has been designated, by the League of American Bicyclists, a Bicycle Friendly Community since 2003. In 2018, the city received a Platinum redesignation, maintaining ranks with only 4 other communities in the U.S.: Boulder, CO, Davis, CA, Portland, OR, and Madison, WI. FC Moves accomplishes its mission through three programs: the FC Bikes Program, Safe Routes to School (RTS), and Transportation Planning. This three-pronged approach ensures that long range (planning) needs as well as current (programming) needs are met.

11:30 -12:15: Darren Moritz

Experience #3 Streets Operations: We all take for granted that our streets are maintained, our sidewalks are kept up, and snow is removed in a timely and safe manner! Take a “behind the scenes” look at how these activities happen as our Streets Department uses real time data, tracking mechanisms, customer input and innovative methods to keep Fort Collins in great shape!

12:15- 12:30: Back to City Hall and disperse

12:30-2:00: Participants go to lunch on their own

2:00-4:00: Expedition to Excellence Round Table Discussion (E2E Participants and Invited Guests)
